Grounded Wiki

Antlion Armor is a Tier 3, Medium Class armor set crafted from Antlion parts. Each armor piece applies the Sizzle Protection effect; decreasing sizzle fill rate when in the Sandbox, BBQ Spill, or from Ladybird Larva attacks. When the full set is worn, the player gains the Quickdraw set bonus; this speeds up bow and crossbow reloading by 40% for 3 seconds when attacking with ranged weapons and reduces the duration of the "Rough Reload" damage penalty effect on crossbows from 2.3 seconds down to 1.5 seconds.

At a Smithing Station, enhancing an Antlion Armor piece down the Sleek Upgrade path imbues it with the +Thirst Rate effect. This reduces thirst drain rate by 5%.

Trivia[]

  • Most of the pieces are based on western or Mexican attire.
    • The wide brim is a sombrero, which is commonly worn in Mexican culture to shield one from the sun.
    • The poncho is another attire commonly worn in Mexican and some South American cultures.
    • Spurs refer to the metal 'stars' on the back of boots, commonly associated with cowboys.
    • The Western infleunce is pushed even further by the set's bonus called "Quickdraw", a well known trope in Wild West/Cowboy media.
