Apprentice Smith is a tutorial quest that tasks the player with building a Smithing Station and upgrade some equipment in order to learn the basics of the system.
Walkthrough[]
The first needs to save BURG.L in the Oak Lab if he hasn't already, which is detailed in the Explosion quest. Once the player has saved BURG.L and unlocked the Science Shop, they need to buy Smithing Station for 100 Raw Science. Once purchased, they must locate or use the Brittle Marble Shards/Brittle Quartzite Shards to both craft the station and craft either some Brittle Whetstones or Brittle Plating. With the materials crafted, simply craft the station and upgrade either a armor piece or weapon to complete the quest.
