The Baby Black Ant is a Tier 2 pet that will always spawn after feeding a Yummy Gum Sandwich to the Black Ant Queen. It does not require any slurry to tame and will automatically be tamed.
If the player chooses to feed the Black Ant Queen the Poison Gum Sandwich or Infected Gum Sandwich, the Baby Black Ant cannot be obtained in that save unless New Game+ is started or progressed if the player is already in New Game+.
However, if the player's Baby Black Ant dies you may return to the Black Ant Queen and get a new one without feeding her again. But, if the player has gone into a New Game+ and has given the Black Ant Queen a Poison Gum Sandwich or Infected Gum Sandwich, they cannot get another Baby Black Ant.
It has 3 variants all obtained from the other ant queens, the Baby Red Ant and Baby Fire Ant.
Behavior[]
The Baby Black Ant will automatically become a pet when the player feeds a Yummy Gum Sandwich to the Black Ant Queen. The Baby Black Ant behaves much like any other pet, being able to be pet, put in a Pet House, or equipped with Pet Attire. Unlike most pets, it also has a storage for the player of 20 slots of inventory space, effectively making it a mobile storage. It used to also give the player Damage Resistance when not in a Pet House, which will give the player 50% damage resistance.
The Baby Black Ant can also be fed Spoiled Meat Slurry, despite not being tamed with it.
Unlike regular worker ants, the Baby Black Ant will not steal and eat food from Jerky Racks, Roasting Spits or storage.
Notes[]
- The creature card will be obtained automatically after the player feeds the Black Ant Queen the Yummy Gum Sandwich.
- This does mean it cannot be obtained if the player poisons or infects her. It is not required for a Super Win.
