The Bratburst is a tier 1 explosive bomb that deals large amounts of damage to a range of Creatures in the area as well as destroying certain destroyable tier 1 structures such as Grass, making it useful for harvesting purposes. Along with this, it can be used to destroy Cracked Rocks across the yard, the entrance door of the Haze Lab and Berry Outpost, the Upper Grasslands, the Black Anthill Lab's glass wall, and the JavaMatic. When thrown, it will deal damage to enemies it hits directly, though not much. It will have a timer in which it will explode after rolling for a short while. If the player picks it up or it lands in a water source, the fuse will stop and it will not explode.
It has a cheaper recipe that does not require Red Ant Eggs using the Sausager in New Game+, although this cheaper recipe needs an extra Fungal Growth.
