The Fire Soldier Ant is an aggressive creature found in high amounts in the Upper Grasslands and their anthill. They can be very dangerous when encountered with other workers.

Behavior[]

Interaction with Player[]

The Fire Soldier Ant is aggressive and will attack the player on sight. It will give chase for a while but may rapidly lose interest. Similarly to the Red Soldier Ants however, it shares all of its attacks, including its normal side bite, charged bite, and 3 bite combo.

Interaction With Other Creatures[]

Fire Soldier Ants are passive and defend their workers if attacked. Fire Soldier Ants are also less aggressive to Creatures they run into, but will still attack weaker creatures like Aphids

Advanced Loot Table[]

This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Fire Soldier Ant. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 1 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if a item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.

Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.

Note: For consistency sake, all duplicate categories have a multiplier next to them, but function as unique loot types when say using Stealing.

Normal[]

Item Count Chance
Fire Ant Head 1 50%
Fire Ant Mandibles 1 100%
Fire Ant Mandibles 1 25%
Fire Ant Mandibles 1 1%
Fire Ant Part 2 70%
Fire Ant Part x3 1 1%

Raid Variant[]

Item Count Chance
Fire Ant Head 1 30%
Fire Ant Part 2 70%
Fire Ant Mandibles 1 25%
Fire Ant Mandibles 1 1%
Fire Ant Part x2 1 1%

Strategy[]

Their aggressive nature renders the Fire Soldier Ant a constant threat in the upper yard, as much as their workers in fact. Encountering a lone soldier isn't very dangerous, as the player should be well versed in countering soldier ant attacks at this point. If a group of soldiers and workers happens to be nearby, running is likely a good idea unless the player is extremely endgame. A Mint Mace is a valid weapon due to their fresh weakness. Tier 3 armor is recommended for encountering them.
