The Grasslands is the largest biome in the game, being in the center of the Backyard and wrapping around other biomes such as the Picnic Table or Sandbox. It is also a good biome to base in due to its safe nature and resource rich area. Due to the biome being so big, the biome listed here is split into three, the central grasslands being the one you start in, the western grasslands being the one that holds the Sandbox and Picnic Table, and the very small pocket of northern grasslands which is near the BBQ Spill.

Grasslands[]

Central Grasslands

The Central Grasslands is the lower-central biome of the backyard, and the starting area of the game. It features mostly tall grass forests with multiple variants and versions of the area. It is overall, the largest biome in Grounded.

Overview[]

The Central Grasslands is located in the center of the backyard and is easily identified by its large grass forests and many terrain features. The area stretches very far, being the largest biome in the game. The center of the biome is reasonably safe, with no dangerous creatures being present upon first sight, but some may wander in after a while. The upper section of the biome is blocked by a large oak fence that borders the Flower Bed and the fence itself is surrounded by Orb Weavers. The center of the fence is completely open and safe as it leads to the Oak Hill biome. The lower-eastern portion is infested with many different spiders and holding multiple dens while the upper eastern portion is safer, but has dangerous creatures such as Bombardier Beetles and Stinkbugs littered about. The lower section borders the houses porch, and also holds a fallen branch from the oak tree that is infested with Lawn Mites and can be useful in gathering their fuzz. A Billy Hog Tray can also be found in this area that has a large amount of Sprigs and a Rotten Larva Blade in a pebble nearby.

Northern Grasslands

The Northern Grasslands is located on the same level of the BBQ Spill and is the smallest of the grasslands. It merely holds a Field Station and some Roly Polys.

Overview[]

The biome has fairly basic resources apart from the Roly Poly spawns. However its safe nature can be a useful spot to put a base or a outpost. It merely has a plateau with a Field Station on it. It has no other real landmark apart from a leaf nearby that has a human skeleton, but no loot. A MIX.R is found on the northern grasslands left of the BBQ Spill.

Western Grasslands

The Western Grasslands is located on the other side of the stepping stones and is notable for being the location of the Sandbox, Picnic Table, and Trash Heap areas. It is also the one of the many homes of the black ants.

Overview[]

The area is much more resource rich then the central grasslands, with the area near the front of the Sandbox having many Husky Weeds to build a base. The areas around are also very resource rich and very safe, having little threats to worry about. It is also the only area that has Sickly Roly Poly spawns. The area near the face of the Sandbox also has the entrance to a Exposed Pipe and the Leaning Shovel to lead to the Picnic Table. Under the Picnic Table is the Milk Molar Bottle and some other resources such as Mushroom Chunks and Gum Nuggets. The section near the Trash Heap has a coiled hose and the exit of the Black Anthill Lab, also being a very safe area in general.
