The Infected Larva is an infected creature that can be found in the Haze, especially in the resource rich crevices of the area. They can be a formidable threat due to their close range explosive properties and their act to stay in clusters, much like their non-infected variant.
Behavior[]
Infected Larvae are one of the more lazy infected creatures, tending to sleep in the crevices they inhabit or wander around. When they are attacking, they have two attacks, the bite they share with normal Larva, and their special infected attack. This attack included them charging up and activating 2 close-range explosions from their back. Though its range is small and it is easy to avoid, the attack can easily kill a player or other creatures alike. Unlike their non-infected versions, they will not flee from a fight if low on health.
Interaction With The Player[]
Infected Larvae are extremely aggressive towards the player and will not hesitate to attack them. They behave towards them like they do to most creatures.
Interactions With Other Creatures[]
Infected Larvae are hostile to all other creatures, excluding other Infected Creatures, to whom they are neutral until one inadvertently damages the other.
Advanced Loot Table[]
This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Infected Larva. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 1 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if a item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.
Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.
Note: For consistency sake, all duplicate categories have a multiplier next to them, but function as unique loot types when say using Stealing.

Spread[]
After sealing the weed canister in the Haze using a Gum Nugget, Infected Larvae will spread to multiple mini-infected zones across the map after a few days. They include:
- The Flower Bed north of the Frankenline
- The eastern-most section under the deck of the shed
- In-between the trash bags in the Upper Grasslands inside a pot
- In the Moldorc Highlands, underneath the small berry bushes
Strategy[]
Killing one Infected Larva is fairly easy, though they normally come in large clusters. When fighting them, it is recommended to have a tier 2 weapon and tier 1 or 2 armor when fighting. Their normal bite is fairly easy to block, but their expulsions should be heavily avoided to make sure the player does not die swiftly.
