Infected Mite is a mutated version of the Lawn Mite found in the Haze biome. It can be distinguished from regular Lawn Mites by its dull olive color. It has a significantly larger health pool than normal Lawn Mites.
Behavior[]
Infected Mites patrol within a small defined area. If they spot a threat, they break from this route and chase it. Infected Mites move relatively slowly but they can close distances by jumping. Their main attack is through jumping and hitting at close range, but they can also shoot a highly damaging projectile at threats further away.
Interaction With Player[]
The Infected Mite is hostile toward the player. When the player is spotted, it crawls or jumps until within distance and may shoot a projectile or continue charging. While attacking, it uses its normal attack behavior. It will not flee when attacked.
Interaction With Other Creatures[]
Infected Mites are extremely aggressive towards most Creatures and will attack them on sight, excluding other Infected Creatures, to whom they are neutral until one inadvertently damages the other.
Advanced Loot Table[]
This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Infected Mite. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 1 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if an item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.
Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.
Note: For consistency sake, all duplicate categories have a multiplier next to them, but function as unique loot types when say using Stealing.

Spread[]
After sealing the weed canister in the Haze using a Gum Nugget, Infected Mites will spread to other zones across the map after a few days. They include:
- The Flower Bed north of the Frankenline
Strategy[]
Infected Mites can be killed pretty easily with most weapons, though a Red Ant Club or an upgraded Larva Blade is recommended, and their jump attack can be blocked without much effort. However, their projectile is unblockable, although it can be shot out of the air, and should be avoided by walking out of the way.
Trivia[]
- Infected Mites used to be green versions of the Lawn Mite.
