The Insect Axe is a Tier II Chopping Tool in Grounded.
Unlocking[]
The recipe to craft Insect Axes can be unlocked by analyzing either a Bombardier Part, a Ladybug Head, or a Silk Rope.
It can also be unlocked by reaching Brainpower Level 6.

The Insect Axe is used to harvest Tier I and Tier II chopping resources: Grass, Dry Grass, Clovers, Dandelions, Berries, Husky Weeds, Crow Feathers, Haze Fungi, Mushrooms, Toadstools, Apples, Rotten Apples, Billy Hogs, and Rotten Billy Hogs.
Combat[]
The Insect Axe deals Chopping damage and categorized as an Axe, so it's affected by the Chopper Mutation.
Upgrading it to level 6 (Mighty) at a Smithing Station imbues it with the Finale Damage effect, increasing the damage of the 3rd hit in its attack combo by 25%.
