The Moldy Hoagie is a special item that allows the player to spawn the Infected Broodmother boss when inside her lair. It is made inside an Oven and its recipe can only be obtained by finding some moldy notes in the Mysterious Lab, on a table in the entrance room.
In New Game+, it can also be given as an offering to the Infected Ant Queen.
How to Use[]
The Moldy Hoagie can only be used in the Infected Broomother's lair in the Haze and has to be placed within a cluster of eggs located at the back of the lair. A prompt to place it, similar to that when building structures, will be shown when interacting with the eggs. When placed, the Infected Broodmother erupt from the ceiling and skitter for a short while before attacking. If all players die before killing her, the Moldy Hoagie will respawn in the center of the arena. On the other hand, it will be consumed if the Infected Broodmother is successfully killed. The Moldy Hoagie can be used again immediately after the previous battle to resummon the Infected Broodmother, but it cannot be used while there is an ongoing one.
