The Poison Mushroom Sandwich is a special item that allows the player to kill the Red Ant Queen when fed to it. It can be unlocked by finding the Poison Mushroom Sandwich Recipe, which is found in the Haze Lab, specifically in the room with a switch that grants access to the Infected Ladybug mini-boss.
When fed, the Red Ant Queen will die, causing the Ant Friend Offerings to disappear and all Red Worker Ants to be aggressive on sight. The player can also loot the Red Ant Queen for Red Ant Queen Chunks, Red Ant Queen Pheromones, and a Red Ant Queen Head. The room behind the Red Ant Queen will also open, holding a large amount of Brittle Quartzite Shards.
It can only be used once, and using it locks the player out of feeding the Red Ant Queen any other options of Mushroom Sandwich.
