The Red Soldier Ant is a hostile insect found in the Grasslands and the Oak Hill biomes. However, a player wearing a full set of Red Ant Armor is treated neutrally. An abundance of Red Soldier Ants inhabit the Red Anthill. A sparse amount are found in the Old Ant Hill. It is slightly larger than a Red Worker Ant, making it a little larger than the player. It also has higher health and deals more damage than a Red Worker Ant. A Red Soldier Ant is easily distinguished by its large mandibles, spiky legs, and thicker body.
Behavior[]
Red Soldier Ants move relatively slowly on the ground. They rarely leave their anthill, but will rush out to defend nearby threatened Red Worker Ants or to patrol the area. If the number of Red Soldier Ants is reduced enough, Red Worker Ants will lay Red Ant Eggs in the deeper chambers of the Westerly Anthill. They have 3 attacks, a normal bite, a three bite combo, and charged bite that deals extra damage.
Interactions With Player[]
The Red Soldier Ant is hostile toward the player unless the player is wearing a full set of Red Ant Armor, which make it becomes neutral toward the player unless attacked. It will continue to attack the player after being attacked regardless if the player is wearing the armor set. It also attacks if the player is spotted taking Ant Eggs. Players should be wary if they choose to climb up blades of grass whilst Red Soldier Ants are on the ground, as Red Soldier Ants are capable of cutting Grass Planks down with their mandibles if they can't reach them.
Interaction With Other Creatures[]
Red Soldier Ants are passive to and will defend Red Worker Ants when they are threatened by other creatures. They are aggressive to all creatures that come near their anthills and will defend it at all costs. If a Red Worker Ant is hurt, they may travel to the area were it was attacked to investigate the area, so it is recommended to kill Red Worker Ants when attacking to avoid this.
Advanced Loot Table[]
This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Red Soldier Ant. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 2 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 1-2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if a item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.
Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.

Strategy[]
A lone Red Soldier Ant can easily be tackled with a tier 1 weapon and any armor, though a large swarm such as the ones found in the Red Anthill should be tackled with a tier 2 weapon such as the Red Ant Club or Stinger Spear. But for a new player, a Pebblet Spear will quickly kill the Red Soldier Ant. All of their attacks can be blocked, with their normal bite being tricky due to the short attack speed and little sound queues.
