Seasonal Events are a unique gameplay feature of Grounded that unlocks special ASL Terminal recipes, causes special Resource Nodes to spawn, and causes unique map changes.
List of Events[]
January[]
During the month of January, the player can purchase the Firework Launcher from the ASL Terminal. It will launch a firework into the air when activated.
February[]
During the month of February, Chocolate Smoochies will start spawning in place of other Food Items and can drop Smoochies Chunks and the Valentine's Fortune trinket. The Smoochies Chunks can be used to craft Cupid's Arrow.
March[]
During the month of March, the Chocolate Leprechaun's Loot resource node will start spawning in place of other Food Items. They drop Chocolate, Rotten Food, and Rainbow Chocolate Chunk, which can be used to craft the Lucky Hat.
April[]
During the month of April, the player is able to purchase a sign set from the ASL Terminal. Easter Eggs will also start spawning in place of other big Food Items and have a chance to drop Chocolate, Candy Cornlet, Sour Lumps, Spicy Candy, Mint Shards, and various Elemental Trinkets.
May[]
During the month of May, the player can purchase a sign set from the ASL Terminal.
October[]
Content[]
During the month of October, the player can purchase the Candy Corn Scarecrow from the ASL Terminal. The Candy Corn Scarecrow spawns Crow Feathers every 5 in game hours. Candy Corn will start spawning in place of other Food Items. They drop Candy Cornlets, which give the player a speed boost when consumed. While Candy Cornlets can be obtained through other Seasonal Events and methods, this is the primary way to obtain them in bulk.
Misc Changes[]
A Jack-O-Lantern will appear on the house deck, it does not have any purpose. The background behind the player in the inventory will change from an Ominent logo to various different Halloween themes, such as a ghost, gravestones, a coffin, or a Jack-O-Lantern. A spider will also occasionally dropdown from the top right corner while the player is looking at their inventory.
December[]
Content[]
During the month of December, the player can purchase a sign set, the Holiday Tree, and the Holiday Wreath from the ASL Terminal. The Holiday Wreath is purely a decorative item. The Holiday Tree, however, every time the player sleeps, will spawn either a Sour Lump, Spicy Shard, Mint Shard, Salt Shard, or EverChar Coal Chunk. The maximum amount of trees the player can place down to receive the maximum amount of items is 8. It will not spawn anything if the month is not December.
