Sour Candy is a node found throughout the upper yard. These candies are branded as "Sour Wormholes." They can be harvested with a Black Ox Hammer to obtain Sour Lumps for upgrading items down the Sour path or for other items. Sour Wormholes can be found in or near Wormhole Rockets. which are located in upper yard. Very few nodes respawn, such as the nodes in the Wormhole Rockets located in the Brawny Boy Bin.

In New Game+, Sour Candy can replace the spawns of Fresh Mints and Spicy Candy, with "RIP Tingles" replacing Fresh Mints and "Pickled Peppers" replacing Spicy Candy. These Sour Candy have the same drops, though only require a Insect Hammer to harvest due to replacing Fresh Mints and Spicy Candy.

They have a rare chance to drop the Pucker Charm.
