The Wasp Drone is a support variant of Wasps normally found along their normal variants in Small Wasp Hives across the Upper Grasslands. They are very deadly due to their powerful attacks and support abilities.
They can be differed from normal Wasps due to their small size and red markings.
Behavior[]
The Wasp Drones fly around their hives with their fellow Wasps like most other flying Creatures. They will be alerted to their hive if it is harmed in any way, such as the player shooting a bow at it or directly chopping it down. When attacking, they have 2 unique moves, a projectile sting that it can shoot from afar, and a scream. When it uses this scream, it can either give itself and all nearby wasps a heavy healing bonus or the Cutman from Assassin's Armor, which allows other wasps and the drone to apply a lethal bleed on all attacks.
Interactions With Player[]
The Wasp Drones are aggressive to the player and will attack them on sight, especially if the player is disturbing a nest.
They become neutral to the player if they are wearing the Bard's Tudor.
Interactions With Other Creatures[]
The Wasp Drone is not directly aggressive to any creatures, though pre-dead carcasses of some can normally be found near their nest such as Orb Weavers. These bodies act identical to the ones found in the Haze, only giving one of their most common part. They are also always passive to their Wasp brethren and will actively buff them with the effects from their screaming move.
They are oddly overly aggressive to Bees and Mosquitoes, sometimes ignoring the player to kill them.
Advanced Loot Table[]
This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Wasp Drone. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 1 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if a item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.
Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.
Note: For consistency sake, all duplicate categories have a multiplier next to them, but function as unique loot types when say using Stealing.

Nest Locations[]
- Under the JavaMatic.
- Under the toolbox in the center of the Upper Grasslands.
- On a large protruding branch on a fallen branch in the Upper Grasslands.
- In the Stump, near the elevated chunk of dirt.
- On one of the berry bushes, near Castle Moldorc.
After Disturbing The Hive[]
After disturbing the hive to open the Brawny Boy Bin, multiple swarms of Wasps will spawn across the yard. A swarm consists of 2 Wasps and a Drone. These swarms lack a hive, and only fly in a general area. The list of swarms that spawn after disturbing the hive include:
- 4 swarms around the Stump.
- 2 swarms in the eastern section of the Flower Bed.
- 2 swarms in the Eastern Flooded Zone near Rash
- 1 swarm in the western section of the Flower Bed.
- 1 swarm in the upper section of the Flower Bed.
Strategy[]
Wasp Drones can be deadly supports for Wasp swarms across the yard. Wasp Drones tend to stay mostly in the air, so a ranged weapon like the Sour Staff or a Black Ox Crossbow with Salt Arrows is highly recommended. Melee is not very effective against them, only really working if the drone manages to accidently fly too close. Highly upgraded tier 3 Armor is also extremely recommended for fighting Wasp and Wasp Drones. Luring either all the normal Wasps or the Wasp Drone first is highly recommended, as fighting all Wasps with the drone is much harder due to the drone's healing abilities. Their stinger shot can't be perfect blocked, and have to be avoided by running and jumping as its shot.
