The Water Flea is a small, swimming creature found in south-eastern Flooded Zone of the The Grasslands biome and the Koi Pond. Water Fleas are found in high abundance swimming in deep water. They are identified by their blue translucent bodies and two wings. They are about the same size as a Weevil, making them smaller than the player. They have an upper yard variant called the Spiny Water Flea.
Behavior[]
Water Fleas are slow-swimming, bouncing up-and-down and moving erratically. They only patrol the regions they spawn in, and have two attacks, a basic bite and a charged bite.
Interaction With Player[]
The Water Flea is hostile to the player and will attack them on sight.
Interaction With Other Creatures[]
Water Fleas are preyed on by Diving Bell Spiders, and will be attacked and killed by them. Water Fleas will attempt to defend themselves when attacked by the spiders, but to no avail.
Advanced Loot Table[]
This is a more advanced covering of the loot-table of Water Flea. Each item has an independent chance and count, in which the chance is the chance it can drop and the count is the amount of items that have that chance. If a count larger than 1 is in one section, then each item has an independent chance from one another (EX: Instead of getting say 2 of a resource, you can get 1 with a 70% chance and another with an additional 70% chance). In terms of Stealing, it can take one item from every section of the loot table, so even if a item count is say 5, the player will only steal one from that section.
Creature Loot Tables also tend to have large amounts of 1% items, which is intended to make stealing more rare items harder, as the player is more likely to steal the large amounts of 1% items than a singular 50% item.
Note: For consistency sake, all duplicate categories have a multiplier next to them, but function as unique loot types when say using Stealing.

Strategy[]
Water Fleas can easily be killed with any underwater weapon and their attacks can easily be dodged or blocked by the player. They are very weak and their attacks do not do very much damage.
Trivia[]
- Water Fleas were originally designed as a passive ambient creature.
- They were later revamped in the Koi Pond Update as a weaker threat.
- Despite their namesake Fleas, Water Fleas aren't actually insects. Along with the Roly Poly, they are crustaceans.
- The Water Fleas appear to be based off the common water flea.
- Strangely, the Water Flea in game appears to be almost the same size as the player. However in reality, they're usually about 6 times smaller.
